ManSound

mansoundKiev sextet ManSound was created in 1994. Today it is the leading brand of vocal bands in Ukraine and former USSR countries. They have regularly participated ininternational jazz festivals. ManSound consists of high-level professionals who have won the recognition of listeners and music critics from all over the world. 
The band has regularly participated in the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival (USA), won a Grand Prix at the international competition a'kapelnyh groups "Vokal.Total" - 2002 (Graz, Austria), along with the best European festivals and vocal jazz music, including including "Vokal Total" (Munich, Germany) and "Voice Mania" (Vienna, Austria). In 2001, ManSound has been nominated for "Best Vocal Group" in the All American Entertainment Awards (Branson, USA). In 2005, ManSound was named  The best jazz group in Ukraine by «ShowBiz Award». 
ManSound solo program was successfully presented in the Netherlands, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and the United States. 
Masterly performance of works in different genres, technique and artistry leaves no doubt that ManSound is one of the most exciting vocal groups of today. The repertoire of the sextet includes popular jazz standards, Gospel, and originally arranged Slavic folklore. The harmonic structure, excellent performance, great tonal range, natural and emotional are the things that make ManSound a favorite band of quality vocal music connoisseurs throughout the world. 
This gorgeous Kiev vocal group, one of the most successful "export" of jazz projects in the former Soviet Union, is now at his peak, despite its uneasy carriere. 
Such grants as Ward Swingle, creator of one of the most popular vocal groups of the world, Swingle Singers, were delighted with ManSound. Organizers of the major jazz festivals speak of them as "one of the best vocal groups in the world."  ManSound make a sort of quintessence of all the achievements of European vocal traditions. Their music exquisitely combines all the criteria of an a cappella piece like sophistication and complexity of the harmonies, personal level of voice and the richness of timbre, an emotional component, and, finally, the repertoire.
